I recently recovered a short poem I had written under my fifth grade teacher. He was one of the first ones to truly introduce me to poetry and writing techniques. I suppose you could say that this is the first real piece of poetry I ever wrote. I hope you find it interesting! Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
Her mind was blank like a piece of paper Her mind was weightless like a wafer Soft and light, not ready to think Her mind melted fast and quick Her mind dissolved for there was nothing to dream For there were so many things she hadn't seen.
Love this poem
