Toxic Dreams of Love

(a collection of three poems)

Devouring Dreams-

Why did you look at me one day and
ignore me the next?
You were like bitter water
Sweetly quenching a deprived tongue
Of the elixir of tr u love

Any attention
or a single mention
of your sugary words
Fatally bewitched my ears with
Fantasy's curse

So those eyes I slwoly drowned in
I swallowed the swift stream
As Brahma drank the ocean
I lived on false notions
And devoured unrealistic dreams

Dear Confusing Person,

Have you not heard?
I admire the way your eyes twirl like the stars
Orbiting my very world

Romance blossoms under furtive roses
Flowered shrubs with mild thorns
I ingest your passion in mild doses
So your perfect poison won't do me harm

Dear vague and inexplicable person
Can you not ever tell?
The way my gaze hides the lessons
My infatuation once befell

But now the ghost of your existence
Has returned stronger than before
When will I learn to stop second-guessing
Each step mi amore?

a messageforsomeone I will oneday Love

Dearpersonwho I willoneday Love
I Hope yourarmsgive Me the galaxy
And yourkissestaste sweet
Like condensed milk
Whisking Me away from reality
And casting me under a spell

The universe should explode from a singleoneofyourtouches
And youreyesshouldshimmer with the infinite constellations of
My past, present, and future

Dearpersonwho I maysomeday Love,
I should see youinthe fiberof My being
Every infinitesmal moment is written in the stars
Above
Our life should be nothing but a
Dream
